AT HOME IN SOUTHRIDGE
The community of Southridge, located in SE Brandon, provides residents with close proximity to the rural countryside without sacrificing the comforts and conveniences of an urban location.
The Neighbourhood is bordered by the City of Brandon Trail network along Patricia Avenue and 1st Street that provides active transportation connections to adjacent neighbourhoods and greenspace amenities. A future Neighbourhood Park will be developed as part of a multifamily development at the corner of 1st Street and Portola Drive that will include a play structure and other amenities.
One of the more significant attractions to this neighbourhood are the two schools that are both within walking distance; Crocus Plains High School and the new K-8 Maryland Park Elementary School that will open in September 2020.
The neighbourhood provides parcels for moderate density, multi-family developments at strategic locations, parks ad recreations, with a large majority being low density. The neighbourhood has a potential for 3,000 residents in 1,300 housing units of all types at a moderate density of development. The residential lots will range from 50 to 60 feet wide with depths ranging from 100 to 120 feet.
